about

'Other Ranks' was a stage performance of a 900 line poem written by Hull U.K. based author John Robinson with music composed by jazz trombonist Paul Taylor. It commemorated the volunteer citizen soldiers of World War 1 and the Hull Pals Battalion in particular. Performances were sponsored by Arts Council England as part of the Hull City of Culture celebrations of 2017.
